Installing Prometheus

Once you have installed Prometheus, you need to configure it to collect metrics from your servers. You can do this by editing the prometheus.yml file.

Installing Grafana

To install Grafana, you can follow the instructions on the Grafana website: https://grafana.com/docs/grafana/latest/installation/.

Once you have installed Grafana, you need to create a data source for Prometheus. You can do this by clicking on the "Add data source" button and selecting "Prometheus".

Creating a Dashboard

Once you have created a data source for Prometheus, you can start creating dashboards. To create a dashboard, click on the "Create dashboard" button.

1. Open Grafana.
2. Click on the "Dashboards" icon in the sidebar.
3. Click on the "Create dashboard" button.
4. In the dashboard editor, click on the "Add panel" button.
5. Select "Prometheus" as the panel type.
6. Enter a query for the metric that you want to display.
7. Click on the "Save" button.

In the dashboard editor, you can add panels to display your metrics. You can use the Prometheus query language to query for metrics.

Creating a Data Source for Prometheus

1. Open Grafana.
2. Click on the "Configuration" icon in the sidebar.
3. Click on the "Data Sources" tab.
4. Click on the "Add data source" button.
5. Select "Prometheus" as the data source type.
6. Enter the URL of your Prometheus server.
7. Click on the "Save" button.
